Well, the basement water alarm woke us up the morning of 4/18/2013 around 3 or 4am. Water was seeping in and collecting in the middle of the basement. It continued to seep in until at least noon It was quite a storm that day, but it all started the day before.
On the 17, we got just a little bit of water in the basement which was easy to clean up. So the basement was picked up and we were ready for the 18th. The lake that forms at Washington and Elizabeth actually formed on the 17th as well, but someone must have cleaned out the sewer drains and it went away. The pictures below are from the afternoon of the 18th.

Which takes us the most interesting thing on the block which is the new rain garden. Here it is on the 4/17.
